Design

This team creates visuals to accompany written submissions or standalone spreads featuring original work. We welcome a variety of art styles and mediums, so being a digital artist is *not* at all a requirement! (When formal applications come out, presenting a portfolio/website is strongly recommended.)

literary

Readers with critical and analytical tendencies welcomed. This team mainly reviews zine submissions and curates content, including the theme and ordering of pieces. Other tasks include helping write copy (in a variety of places) and some administrative work like updating spreadsheets, answering emails, or transcription.


social media
+ web

For social media: Instagram is our home base, but this team would also be helping manage new platforms like Twitter or our email list. We are preferably looking for social media managers who are also artists and can create graphics specifically for social media.

For web: you do not have to know how to code (that is a plus though) but you should have experience with WordPress, Squarespace, Shopify, or similar platforms.

Help us out with other tasks to keep Xone running! Some possibilities include reaching out to other DFW orgs on Xone's behalf. Or, if you've managed a zine (or similar project) before, you can help advise and provide general direction. Or, you may have certain specific/specialized skills.
